Review: Mangalshutra is a social cum family Gujarati Natak. Riddhima and Dheeraj (Vipul Vithlani) are happily married couple with a new born 3 moths old baby when Vividha – sister of Riddhima enters the house and along with her enters Anand the friend of Dheeraj from United States of America for the purpose of wedding. Anand has already seen many girl for the marriage but none of that clicked. When he mets Vividha, he falls in love with her at first sight and they decides to marry each other. After taking blessings from their uncle they gets marry.
The time comes for Anand to leave for US and he promises Vividha that he will file for her visa at the earliest and they both will be together but for that time please stay with Dheeraj my friend and wait for the visa to come. Vividha is very upset and sad as Anand is leaving and she has to spend few time alone without Anand.
The tragedy strikes when Ridhima and Anand meets with the fatal accident wherein, Anand dies on the spot and Riddhima slips into coma. There is no one for Dheeraj to look after his baby and on the other side Vividha has lost her husband. To help both of them and to bring them out of sorrow and live a happy life, Vividha’s uncle convince them and once saali-jeeja (Dheeraj and Vividha) marries each other. 9 years down the line, Riddhima comes out from the coma. How will she react after she comes back to her house and seeing her younger sister married to her husband and his son calling her aunty instead of mom?
